Call for projects currently open

AdapT-Infrastructure Council

Application deadline: 30 January 2026

Funding for the implementation of the proposed research program is $100,000 annually for a period of five years, subject to continued funding each year by the FRQ. These funds must be allocated primarily to scholarships and salaries for the research team, mainly undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows. The selected chair must be proposed by at least two co-holders from two different disciplines or working in different fields of research.

The research program must address issues related to the adaptation of infrastructure to climate change in collaboration with or related to the issues of one or more members of the Infrastructure Council. The term infrastructure is used broadly and may include buildings and infrastructure for transportation, energy transmission, drinking water production and distribution, wastewater disposal and treatment, recreation and sports, etc.

For resilient and sustainable infrastructure

Application deadline: 30 January 2026

A total envelope of $100,000 is available for funding a collaborative research project. Research teams are free to request any amount they want, as long as it is less than $100,000.

The research project must address issues related to adapting infrastructure to climate change. The term infrastructure is used broadly and can include buildings and transportation infrastructure, energy transmission, drinking water production and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, recreation and sports facilities, etc.

Scholarship supplements

Application deadline: En continu

The research grants come from funding provided by the Fonds de recherche du Québec to Institut AdapT, launched by the École de technologie supérieure, and supplement a scholarship from other funding agencies (Mitacs, Alliance, NSERC, etc.) for the development of projects related to AdapT’s mission. The participation of an industrial partner, non-profit organization (NPO), municipality, or hospital is optional.

Pour des municipalités résilientes et durables

Application deadline: 27 January 2025

Une enveloppe totale de 200 000 $ est disponible pour le financement de projets de recherche collaboratifs. Les équipes de recherche sont libres de demander le montant qu’elles veulent, du moment qu’il soit inférieur à 200 000$. Le nombre de projets financés variera selon les montants demandés par les équipes de projet sélectionnées.

Le projet de recherche doit aborder des enjeux liés à l’adaptation des infrastructures municipales aux changements climatiques. Le terme infrastructure est utilisé de façon large et peut inclure les bâtiments et les infrastructures de transport, de transmission d’énergie, de production et de distribution d’eau potable, d’évacuation et de traitement des eaux usées, de loisir et de sports, etc.

Chaire de recherche AdapT-UMQ

Application deadline: 27 January 2025

Le financement octroyé pour la mise en œuvre du programme de recherche proposé est de 100 000 $ annuellement, pour une période de 5 ans, sous condition de la poursuite du financement chaque année par les FRQ. Ces fonds doivent être alloués majoritairement à des bourses et salaires de l’équipe de recherche, principalement des étudiant.e.s au baccalauréat, à la maîtrise et au doctorat et des stagiaires postdoctoraux. La chaire sélectionnée devra être proposée par un minimum de deux co-titulaires provenant de deux disciplines différentes ou exerçant dans des domaines de recherche différents.
