Institut AdapT – Climate adaptation solutions
Developing innovative solutions to adapt the built environment to the climate of the coming decades.
Mission
To develop innovative solutions for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of circular, climate-resilient infrastructure assets.
Drawing on expertise from all fields of engineering, management, health, and the humanities and social sciences, researchers at Institut AdapT are working to develop solutions that will enable us to build infrastructure that is better adapted to climate change.
One-stop shop for innovation
The Institute has set itself the task of bringing together academic, scientific, governmental, civil, and industrial forces to accelerate the design and construction of infrastructure adapted to the reality of climate change. Depending on needs, it will provide access to the innovations, resources, grants, and tools necessary to carry out various projects.
Call for projects – Additional scholarships
The research scolarship come from funding provided by the Fonds de recherche du Québec to the AdapT Institute, launched by the École de technologie supérieure, and supplement a scolarship already awarded to a student or postdoctoral fellow from another source:
- MITACS programs
- Canadian Research Grants programs (NSERC/SSHRC/CIHR)
- Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) programs
- Call for projects from an organization (non-profit, governmental)
- Other grands accepted by the Institute.
The evaluation committee established by Institut AdapT will evaluate proposed projects as they are submitted.
