Erik Poirier

His work focuses on the digital transformation of the built assets industry, with an emphasis on the adoption and implementation of BIM, particularly within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His research focuses on optimizing information flows, managing the data lifecycle, and standardizing digital practices in this sector. His contributions include the strategic development of BIM, notably through Quebec’s BIM roadmap, as well as his support to various public organizations in their BIM implementation efforts.

With over 20 years of experience in the Canadian construction industry, his work also focuses on promoting advanced digital practices through roles within organizations such as the Quebec BIM Group and buildingSMART Canada.
