Jean-Luc Martel
Description
As a water resources specialist, his work aims to bring scientific research closer to the industrial world while making science accessible to the general public. As such, he regularly appears in the media to explain complex concepts in layman’s terms and raise awareness of the importance of water-related issues. His areas of expertise include the impact of climate change, hydrological and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, green infrastructure, and the application of machine learning. His research contributes in particular to the development of resilient infrastructure and sustainable built environments that are adapted to current environmental challenges.
