Katherine D’Avignon

Her research focuses on thermal comfort and energy transition in buildings. With her team, she develops advanced design tools and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to promote energy efficiency measures, including the integration of innovative thermal storage technologies. Her work is part of a sustainable vision aimed at optimizing peak energy management and improving occupant comfort and strengthen the resilience of buildings in the face of increasing heat waves and major power outages.
