Munzer Hassan

Description

He specializes in structural engineering, with significant expertise in the design, analysis, and rehabilitation of major infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, and large-scale structures (stadiums, arenas). His research focuses on developing innovative solutions to improve the performance, durability, and safety of these structures, particularly in challenging environments such as seismic zones or northern climates.

He is particularly interested in the behavior of structures under complex loads (including earthquakes), soil-structure interaction, and deep foundations. His work also involves the use of advanced materials, such as composites, for the reinforcement and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. At the same time, he is developing sophisticated numerical models to simulate structural behavior and optimize design. His research thus contributes to construction practices that are faster, more resilient, and better suited to the contemporary challenges facing infrastructure.
