Willian Ney Cassol

Willian Ney Cassol

Description

His research focuses on the acquisition and analysis of geospatial and hydrospatial data, with a particular emphasis on riverine and marine environments. He utilizes advanced technologies such as photogrammetry, LiDAR, bathymetry, and low-cost drones to make these approaches more accessible. His work focuses in particular on 3D and conceptual modeling of landforms, as well as the automatic extraction and characterization of morphological structures, such as the submarine dunes of the St. Lawrence River. He pays particular attention to data quality and the management of morphological uncertainties, especially in bathymetric models. His research contributes to a better understanding of hydrosedimentary dynamics and the interactions between underwater morphology and hydrodynamic processes.
