Yan Boucher

Description
He conducts research focused on assessing the long-term effects of natural disturbances and management practices on the structure, composition, and dynamics of forest ecosystems. His work explores the ecology of natural disturbances, particularly forest fires, and their role in the evolution of forest landscapes. He is also interested in the history of disturbances, the impact of forest management, and the resilience of ecosystems to climate change.
Through the development of management and restoration strategies, it aims to maintain the resilience of the boreal forest, while proposing silvicultural approaches adapted to the increased risk of fires in the context of climate change.
Don’t just coexist with climate change.
