Description

His research focuses on marine geology, coastal oceanography, and the sedimentary processes that shape coastal environments. His work aims to better understand sediment transport driven by waves, tidal currents, and sea ice, including the influence of coastal marsh vegetation and the effects of biostabilization in mudflats. He combines measurements taken with oceanographic instruments, field surveys, and numerical modeling approaches to analyze wave propagation, coastal morphodynamics, and the dynamics of cohesive sediments. His research also focuses on extreme wave and water level events and their relationship to coastal erosion.
